A lot of astonishing tech innovations, products and gadgets were unveiled at the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas, one of which is the Blackview Hero 10.
This is Blackview’s first Foldable phone and it’s the most astounding of all the Blackview phones showcased at the event. According to the brand, the Blackview Hero 10 would retail for $550 and it’s expected to launch this year.
The Hero 10 is not a high-end Flip phone but it’s specifications are quite impressive.
Blackview Hero 10 Specifications
The Hero 10 Foldable phone’s display when opened measures 6.9 inches, the panel is AMOLED with a resolution of 1188 x 2970 pixels, it also feature a circle shaped 1.3 inch rear display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels, next to the display are two camera lenses and LED flash, all are housed in the same module.
Chipset And Memory
Additionally, the device is powered by the Helio G99 and utilizes 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Honestly, Blackview should have made this flip a flagship by opting for a flagship-tier processor but at the same time, this is the brand’s first Foldable phone, Blackview probably cannot anticipate how well the device would be received in the morket.
Android Version
Further, the device ship with the Android 13 out of the box with DokeOS 3.1 on top, the DokeOS 4.0 is Blackview’s latest custom skin packed with cool features but the DokeOS 3.1 is not bad either. Hopefully, the Hero 10 would receive the Android 14 in the future and it’s more likely to be paired with a new DokeOS version.
Battery And Camera
The phone’s battery consists of two parts; a 2630 and 1300mAh battery piece, The device could probably last a day on a single charge and speaking of charging, the phone supports 45W fast charging which is quite impressive. As mentioned earlier, the device has a dual rear camera setup and they consist of a 108MP primary camera and 8MP ultrawide. The phone’s hole punch houses a 32MP selfie camera.
Therefore, the Blackview Hero 10 should be considered an entry-level Foldable device, it’s hardware doesn’t come close to competition but this is Blackview’s first attempt and it’s the first rugged phone brand to release a Foldable phone so that’s definitely an accomplishment. One thing’s for sure though, ain’t no way people would find the price mentioned above attractive.
