Blackview has quietly released a new rugged phone, called the Blackview BV8100. Just like the Fossibot F106 Pro, the BV8100 is suitable for anyone that engages in nighttime activities. This is because the BV8100 is equipped with a very bright 170 lumens dual LED flash, located at the top of the device.

The Blackview BV8100 is one of the few rugged phones with the Android 14 OS, which is quite impressive, because many rugged devices released in 2024 so far, ships with the Android 13. On top of the Android 14, is the DokeOs 4.0, which is Blackview’s custom skin.

As expected, the BV8100 comes equipped with a gigantic 8,800 mAh battery and according to Blackview, the battery was able to attain up to 883 hours of standby time, which is equivalent to 37 days.

Additionally, it supports 45W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging, which means that this device can be used to charge other devices.

Furthermore, the Blackview BV8100 is IP68 & IP69K certified, which means the BV8100 is water-proof, dust-proof and is likely resistant to high pressure water. It’s also MIL-STD-810H certified. Which means it’s passed the military-grade standard test and is certified to survive different harsh environmental conditions.

Other features includes, FM radio, GPS, NFC, OTG, Bluetooth 5.1, Side fingerprint and face unlock, 5GHz Wi-Fi, etc. The rugged phone is offered in Black, Green and Orange colorways and would officially launch before the ending of April.
