Blackview Hero 10 Came As A Surprise To Blackview Fans

Blackview Surprised fans with the Hero 10 foldable phone reveal at the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas. It’s the brand’s first flip phone and it’s also the first to be released by a rugged phone brand. A flip phone from Blackview indicates that there is a possibility we might see foldable devices from other rugged phone brands very soon.

The Blackview Hero 10 is a feature-packed flip phone with nice specifications although, it’s not to be compared with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Flip series or other top tier foldable devices from top phone brands. Here are the top specifications of Blackview’s new foldable phone.

The phone has a circular rear display that measures 1.3 inches with a 360×360 resolution, when opened, the main display has a size of 6.9 inches with a FHD+ resolution and an AMOLED panel, the refresh rate is unknown as of this writing.

Unfortunately, the phone is powered by the Helio G99 octa-core processor and it ship with the Android 13 with the DokeOS 4.0 custom skin on top. Personally, a 5g mid-range processor and the Android 14 would have been better, especially since it’s the brand’s first foldable device. This could also mean that the brand is not ready to compete with the likes of Samsung and co. which is reasonable.

The Hero 10 has 12GB RAM and 256GB internal, the device would likely support virtual ram expansion and the storage could be expanded via Micro SD.

Furthermore, the phone’s battery is divided into two parts both of which consists of a 2,630mAh and 1,300mAh which is great for a flip phone, the phone also supports 45W fast charging. Additionally, the Blackview Hero 10 feature a dual rear camera setup and an LED flash located beside the rear display. The cameras are led by a 108MP main camera, followed by an 8MP ultrawide lens, the front camera is 32MP.

The Blackview Hero 10 is expected to retail for an affordable price, according to some sources, the device would sell close to $500, a price that is likely going to be unattractive to fans. The foldable phone is said to launch later this year.
