The Blackview MEGA 1 is a new mid-range tablet from Blackview, it’s equipped with impressive specs and features and it has an elegant unibody design. Let’s find out what this new tablet has to offer.
Blackview MEGA 1 Specs
The Blackview MEGA 1 is offered in Space Gray, Sky Blue and Dreamy Purple colorways, it’s a very thin tablet that has a thickness of just 7.5mm and it weighs 528g. At the back of the MEGA 1 is a single rear 50MP main camera and LED flash, there’s also Blackview’s official branding positioned at the center.
Superb Display and Efficient Processor
Further, the tablet has a large 11.5-inch 2.4K IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 85% screen-to-body ratio, also at the front is a 13 MP selfie camera. The tablet is powered by the Mediatek Helio G99 6 nm octa-core processor, which remains one of the most powerful and efficient 4G mobile processors.
The Helio G99, while not as powerful as many Mid-range mobile processors, is still a very capable SOC. It’s not a gaming processor but it’s still powerful enough to handle most games available on Android.
Memory is great
Additionally, the phone has 12GB & 8GB RAM models with both models having the same 256GB internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 1TB via MicroSD.
The 12 GB RAM variant supports up to 12 GB virtual RAM expansion, meaning the RAM can be expanded up to 24 GB while the 8 GB RAM variant supports up to 8 GB virtual RAM expansion, which means it could be expanded up to 16 GB using the RAM expansion software feature.
Big battery capacity and fast charging combo
Moving on, the MEGA 1 ships with the Android 13 OS with the DokeOS 4.0 official custom skin of Blackview on top. The tablet also pack a gigantic 8,800mAh battery that could easily last up to 3 days with moderate use and thankfully, the device supports 33W fast charging which should be able to quickly top up the phone when its battery life’s about to run out. The 33W fast charger is included in the phone’s package.
Additional features of the Blackview Mega 1
Other features includes, quad box speakers for a delightful sound experience, Wi-Fi, GPS, dual hybrid SIM slot, which means two SIM cards only, or a single SIM and TF card can be used at the same time. The tablet also supports Stylus, which is sold separately.
Finally, the Blackview MEGA 1 is expected to launch before the ending of February or the first week of March. Honestly there’s no official release date yet but it’s likely going to launch soon. The tablet is projected to cost $250.
