Oukitel is gearing up to launch a 5g rugged phone, called the Oukitel WP35. Its gonna be the successor of the Oukitel WP33 Pro. At first glance, the WP35 looks stylish and appears to have a much more slim profile than its predecessor.
According to Oukitel, the Oukitel WP35 has a thickness of just 15mm, which means it’s thinner than the Oukitel WP33 Pro that has a thickness of 27.3mm. Additionally, some legit sources claim that the device weighs 360g, if this turns out to be the correct weight of the Oukitel WP35, then it’s also lighter than the Oukitel WP33 Pro.
Just like the Oukitel WP33 Pro, the WP35 is powered by the Dimensity 6100+ chip, which means it would support 5G connectivity. At the rear of the Oukitel WP35 is a circular module, housing three camera lenses and an LED flash.
The main camera is a 64 MP Sony IMX682 sensor, it also has an 8 MP wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro lens. While the front camera is 32 MP, which is capable of taking decent-looking selfie shots.
Furthermore, the Oukitel WP35 has a 11,000 mAh battery, which is smaller battery than its predecessor, it’s literally half of the battery of the Oukitel WP33 Pro’s 22,000 mAh battery. Regardless, the battery is still insanely large, especially when you compare it with batteries of standard smartphones.
Finally, the device would run the Android 14 OS, it supports IP68 & IP69K ratings, which means it’s waterproof, dust-proof and resistant to high pressure water.
The Oukitel WP35 is projected to launch in May 2024 for just $200. This is expected because Oukitel is known for releasing some of the cheapest 5g rugged phones available today.
The Oukitel WP35 is another rugged phone that would be worth looking into, it has an elegant design, it’s more durable than normal smartphones, it supports 5g connectivity and would likely retail for a very affordable price.
