Oukitel OT8 is a new budget tablet from Oukitel; one of the fastest growing rugged phone brands in the world. The Oukitel OT8 is a nice cheap tablet with nice specs and features, it is not a rugged tablet, so durability features including IP ratings, special screen protection and other durability features are non-existent.

To further add more details to the above specs, Oukitel has promised OTA updates for this device. Although the brand did not make it clear, so it’s quite difficult to tell if the OTA updates would include Android OS upgrades or just security updates.
The Oukitel OT8 is one of the few cheap tablets with nice features released in 2024. Blackview is also coming up with its new budget tablet series called the Mega series with the Blackview Mega 1 coming very soon as the first tablet of the lineup. It’s important to know that Blackview and other rugged phone brands already have cheap tablets in the market but the Mega series from Blackview are its new budget tablet lineup.
