Blackview has announced the Blackview BL9000 Pro, which is the upgraded version of the Blackview BL9000. Well technically, I’d say it’s just slightly different from the BL9000.
As opposed to the BL9000, the BL9000 Pro is equipped with a thermal camera and it’s the FLIR Lepton 3.5. The thermal camera helps detect the infrared radiation of heat signatures. Basically, it captures an object or living thing that emits heat in its field of view.
Major Difference between the BL9000 Pro and the BL9000
The BL9000 lacks a thermal camera but it has a highly customizable rear display, which the Pro lacks. So the BL9000 Pro has a thermal camera, while the BL9000 has a rear display. That’s basically the major difference between both 5g rugged phones.
A 5G Rugged Beast With Thermal Camera Capabilities
Just like the BL9000, the BL9000 Pro has a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD punch-hole display, 120Hz refresh rate and the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The Dimensity 8020 handles performance and its quite a powerful 5g chip, managing to attain over 800,000 points in the Antutu benchmark test.
Further, the phone has 12GB RAM and a large 512GB internal storage, expandable up to 2 terabytes with a TF card. The phone supports virtual RAM expansion, just like most devices released these days. Additionally, the BL9000 Pro runs the Android 14 OS, with the DokeOS 4.0 custom skin on top, that’s loaded with tons of features and unique customizations.
A gigantic 8,800mAh battery occupies the phone, guaranteed to last up to a week on a single charge and fortunately, the device support 120W fast charging, which is the perfect charging speed for such a massive battery capacity. The device is equipped with the same camera setup as it’s predecessor, which consists of a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens with macro shots capabilities. While the front-facing camera is 50MP.
Moving on, the device is IP68 and IP69k certified and it’s MIL-STD-810H compliant, which means the Blackview BL9000 Pro is waterproof, dust-proof, shockproof and is resistant to high pressure water. It’s also durable enough to survive harsh environments. It supports NFC, OTG, Bluetooth 5.2, dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6, side fingerprint and face unlock, GPS, sensors that are essential on a smartphone and 5G connectivity.
Currently, the BL9000 is listed on AliExpress with a placeholder price tag, the official price would be revealed when it officially launches.
