Oukitel has launched the successor of the Oukitel WP33 Pro 5g called the Oukitel WP36. As opposed to the WP33 Pro 5g, the WP36 is a budget 4g rugged phone and it’s cheaper than its predecessor.
Just like the Oukitel WP33 Pro 5g, the WP36 is equipped with a 3.5W speaker located at its rear but its max loudness is 128dB(128 decibels). Which means it’s not as loud as the 136dB speaker of the WP33 Pro.

Oukitel WP36 Details
The Oukitel WP36 has a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD water-drop notch display with the standard 60 Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display is a tiny bit shorter than the display of the Oukitel WP33 Pro. Also the WP33 Pro has a better resolution.
It’s powered by the Mediatek MT8788 12 nanometer octa-core processor and it has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
The device is a bulky one and that’s mainly because of its huge 10,600 mAh battery, guaranteed to last for days on a single charge. It also supports 15 W fast charging which is too slow for such a gigantic battery capacity. It weighs 393.7g and it has a thickness of 19.1mm.
The stock version of Android 13 is the default OS of the device, it’s likely going to be the only OS for the phone, most Oukitel devices never receive Android OS upgrades.
In the camera department, the device features a dual rear camera setup that consists of a 13 MP main shooter and a 2 MP macro lens. A 5 MP camera located at its teardrop notch handles selfies.

My Thoughts
While the Oukitel WP36 isn’t as impressive as its predecessor, it’s still a rugged phone with decent features and specs, it’s also waterproof, dust-proof and shock-proof. It’s also a nice choice for those looking for a cheap and extremely durable smartphone but the WP33 Pro is also very cheap and it’s a 5g rugged phone, so if you’re looking for a cheap 5g rugged phone, you might wanna check out the Oukitel WP33 Pro.
