The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra is most-likely the first 5g smartphone from Ulefone that’s not Rugged. Don’t get it wrong, Ulefone has released many 5g smartphones till date but they’re all rugged phones, so the Note 18 Ultra is the first 5g normal phone from Ulefone to support 5g. It’s also among the cheapest 5g smartphones of 2024 and as regarding its features, well they’re quite impressive. Let’s explore them.
The Note 18 Ultra is loaded with tons of impressive features
The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 720 5g octa-core 7 nanometer chip, with a clock speed of up to 2.0GHz, it also utilizes 6GB RAM, with up to 6GB virtual RAM expansion, which is basically a software feature that helps to increase the size of the phone’s RAM by taking a certain amount of memory from the phone’s internal storage and add to the original RAM virtually. The phone also has a moderately-large 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via MicroSD.
For a very cheap phone, it has an elegant modern design
The device has a stunning look and it employs the premium flat-frame design, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, embedded on its power button, it also has a 3.5mm audio jack located at its top, with an IR blaster beside it. With its infrared remote control, electronics and appliances like a TV or an Air conditioner can be operated with the phone.
Additionally, at the rear of the device is a dual camera setup and an LED flash, arranged similarly to that of iPhone devices, the rear camera is led by a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 main sensor with f/1.95 aperture, followed by another 50MP ultra-wide angle lens. While the front camera is 32MP. The phone supports multiple photography modes including, HDR mode, portrait mode and night mode, which would be handled well by the main camera.
Further, an unspecified Corning Gorilla Glass protects the phone’s 6.78-inch FHD+ punch-hole, IPS LCD, 90Hz display. Surprisingly, its bezels are not very thick, infact its aspect ratio is 20.5:9, which is quite impressive for a cheap phone. For long-lasting usage, the Note 18 Ultra is equipped with a large 5,450mAh battery, it supports 18W fast charging and it runs on the Android 13 OS (stock version).
It’s nice to know that the Ulefone Note 18 Ultra supports NFC, it has a custom key that has multiple functions, including turning on/off the flashlight with a single click, it also supports face unlock, it’s splash-proof and it ships with a free TPU case for added protection.
